Wine Tasting At The Vedema Hotel In Greece

Ever wanted to go wine tasting in an actual wine cellar?

I got the opportunity to do so at the Vedema Hotel in Santorini, Greece. Let's just say I felt like a Grecian princess living in ancient Greece.

Canava Wine Bar, carved out of the Thiran earth, is a 400 year old winery which stands as a catacomb in the middle of hotel.

This hotspot was converted into a unique Wine bar and offers its guests a distinguishing atmosphere. Guests and wine patrons can participate in wine tasting which ranges from different kinds of selected red and white wines from Santorini.

From white rose, white and red wines created by some of the most prestigious & awarded wine producers. What's great about the wines made in Santorini is that it comes from the most unique soil & grape varieties of the world. The wine tasting is a 1.5 hour session for the price of 45 Euros per person.

After wine tasting, head over to the Vinsanto Restaurant across the hall where you can dine like a Greek King to amazing dishes. Vinsanto Restaurant & Lounge, offers creative Mediterranean cuisine masterfully prepared and presented by award winning chefs and is served in a 400 year old restaurant. If you want some fresh air, you can dine in the open-air dining area surrounded by authentic black volcanic stones and continue drinking!

The Vedema hotel is a celeb stomping ground as Hollywood's A-listers such Angelina Jolie and Heidi Klum have both stayed there.
