Gansevoort South Makes Big Waves In Miami

In additon to our extensive Miami coverage this week we would like to announce the latest addition to the block, Gansevoort South. The famed New York hotel is opening its doors in the city known for its wild parties, luxury and style.

The best part of the hotel is the Nikki Beach inspired décor, a 55,000-square-foot semi-circular oceanfront pool deck and the rooftop which will be transformed into a tropical haven dotted with coco palm trees and whimsical cabanas. The 110-foot outdoors swimming pool will be joined by, “Plunge”, a stylish bar and lounge.

The hotel will feature a gym by David Barton and a Spa. It doesn’t hurt that our favorite restaurants, STK and Philippe Chow will be opening its doors in the hotel.

We’re pretty sure this hotel will be the stopping ground for many Hollywood heavyweights. Especially the hotel’s Presidential Suite also known as the "Grand Dame Suite", includes 3,500 square feet of space, with two master bedrooms, two living rooms, an entertainment room, and an expansive outdoor deck, all with peerless ocean and city views.

The Gansevoort South Hotel, Spa and Residences is located on the up-and-coming north end of Collins Avenue (between 23rd and 24th Streets), widely considered to be the next epicenter of South Beach. It will comprise the 334-room Gansevoort South hotel and 259 condominiums currently available for purchase. To learn more about this hotel Click Here.

Restaurant Review: STK

As we had previously mentioned, NYC’s finest steakhouse has opened its doors in West Hollywood. We got the chance to wine and dine at the restaurant and here’s our input.

If you plan on actually eating at 8PM, make your reservations for 6:30PM because chances are you're gonna be waiting at the bar drinking your sorrows away. After an hour of huffing and puffing, we finally got seated.

Thankfully after being seated, the service and the food were so good that we almost forget we waited over an hour to be seated.

The wedge salad was great, the steak was very tender and the Mac & Cheese was to die for! When you ask for a drink recommendation they’re probably gonna recommend their version of the mojito. I don’t recommend it!

Hollyscoop gives STK an overall 3 scoops rating.

Stars Out And About In Hollywood

This is the Hollywood night patrol. Last night the stars were out and about. Newly single Travis Barker hit L.A. hot spot Katsuya, while his ex-wife Shanna Moakler was at the Jonas Brothers concert with the kids. Actress Taryn Manning was also spotted at Katsuya.

A couple feet away, party girl Tara Reid hit S Bar which is owned by SBE, the same people who run Katsuya.

A couple blocks away, Hilary Duff joined her sister Haylie Duff at Hollywood’s latest import STK . The steakhouse, which is a popular spot in the east coast, has now opened its doors here in the west coast.

So far, stars suchBenjamin McKenzie, Hayden Panettiere and Courtney Cox have made a pit stop for some grub. We must admit, STK looks amazing. If you don’t want to eat a big meal, make sure to stop by and check out the bar.
