In 2007, JT opened BBQ joint Southern Hospitality on the Upper East Side. It became a smash hit with the locals, and everyone flocked in for the tasty Southern-inspired menu items. We’re sure people were hoping to get a glimpse of the owner as well…
So with that success on his restauranteur resume, Justin is expanding. He and business partner Trace Ayala are in talks to open up a second location in Chelsea.
According to New York Magazine, JT has rented a space on 6th Ave. that goes for $35,000 a month. Who has the money to pay that kind of lease?! He better hope his customers even have enough money to pay their bill at the end of the night.
Restaurants everywhere right now are really suffering, so this seems like an odd time to open up one. But when you’re Justin Timberlake, do the same rules even apply?
