The big gossip of the night was watching Leighton Meester take over the mic and perform for the crowd that brought in Jessica Szohr, Michelle Trachtenberg, Ashlee Simpson, Entourage's Adrian Grenier among others. Leighton sang her new single "Somebody to Love” while Pete Wentz took on the turntables.
The AE store is 25,000 square-feet in the heart of Times Square. VIP guests walked an interactive, subway-themed red carpet featuring an American Eagle accessories cart and were the first to explore the brand's four floors of New York-exclusive offerings. Guests personalized their own American Eagle hoodies, received trucker hats painted by New York graffiti artists and shopped for limited-edition aerie underwear with graphics of New York neighborhoods. In a nod to Times Square's cinematic spirit, New Yorker’s were treated to inside access to the event through live streaming on American Eagle’s 15,000-square-feet exterior LED screens.
