Over the weekend, Prince Harry took some time off of his military training to explore San Diego. And no, Sara Leal wasn’t part of his tour. The single Prince is in the area for his first week of military training, and he will soon begin a two-month military helicopter course to prepare for combat.

But first, it's time to party! The 27 year-old went out with about twenty friends and hit up the Ivy Nightclub in downtown San Diego on Saturday night. The pals were reportedly served Vodka, Red Bull and beer. One of the club’s staff members Tweeted:

"Harry and his friends relaxed with some drinks while watching rugby."

Indeed, at midnight, the crowd hung out by the pool area and watched some rugby from a private cabana. He also had his own private balcony at the club, where he partied until 2 a.m.

The Ivy Nightclub is at San Diego’s Andaz Hotel, and the club itself is four stories. The Ivy is actually a member of the World’s Finest Clubs group, so no wonder it was graced by royalty. The Ivy Rooftop is where the pool and cabanas are, and it’s known for being San Diego’s largest roof space. Not to mention there are amazing views of the SoCal city.

On Friday, Harry had a more laid back night. He hit up McP’s Irish Pub and Grill. Ted Taylor, the bar’s owner, says Harry came with seven friends and sat outside at a picnic table. He scarfed down a burger and a beer and then took off about an hour later.

"He said, 'I'm glad to be here'," Taylor explained. "He was very personable. He was a nice guy, very low-key." Sure, really low-key. Except for being a part of the most famous monarchy in the world.

According to Taylor, Harry turned down requests for photos from several girls. Sorry, Harry Hunters.

McP’s is located in Coronado, an island off the coast of San Diego, and it boasts several Best of Coronado Awards: best bar scene, best entertainment, best live music, and friendliest food server—Tracy Taylor. They have a happy hour that runs Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm. Half off appetizers and wine, and $1.00 off beer or cocktails. They also have a late night menu that goes on from 9 pm to 11 pm. Great way to sober up.

Prince Harry’s training will end at an Air Force station in Arizona. The group of about 20 students will fire missiles, rockets and cannons from Apache helicopters.
