If you’re throwing a Super Bowl party, know this. Half the people who are coming know nothing of the Giants and touchgoals and Eli whoever. Those people are there for one thing and one thing only: the food.

So you better have something good prepared. And if you’re not throwing a party, why not bring some Super Bowl snacks for backup? Whatever your plans this Super Bowl Sunday, here are a few easy recipes.

Bloomin’ Onion Bread: Just like the kind they serve at Outback Steakhouse, only cheaper. Recipe blog ChangeATable.com introduced this delicious recipe, which consists of mostly bread and cheese. How can you go wrong?

Ingredients:

1 unsliced loaf sourdough bread

12-16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup finely diced green onion

2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust. Put it on a foil-lined baking sheet. Insert cheese slices between cuts. Combine butter, onion, and poppy seeds. Drizzle over bread. Wrap in foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Oreo Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies: ‘Nuff said.

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

3 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 package Double Stuff Oreo cookies

In a large bowl, add butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together with a mixer until well combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. (HINT: You can also buy pre-made cookie dough. That exists!) In medium bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add that to the wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined. (Again, buying cookie dough is still an option).

With a cookie scoop, form balls with the dough. Place one ball on top of an Oreo cookie, and another ball on the bottom. Seal edges together by pressing in hand until Oreo cookie is fully enclosed in dough. Place onto parchment bake cookies for approximately 13 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Nacho Casserole: Two of my favorite things, rolled together in one delicious dish.

Ingredients:

1 can(s) (10 3/4 ounces) Cheddar cheese soup

1/2 cup(s) low-fat (1%) milk

1 jar(s) (16 ounces) mild or medium-hot salsa

1 bag(s) (7 ounces) baked, unsalted tortilla chips

1 can(s) (16 ounces) fat-free refried beans

2 jalapeño chiles, thinly sliced

1 cup(s) shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven 400 F. In a 13” ceramic or glass baking dish, stir soup (undiluted) with milk. Spread evenly. Top with half of the salsa and half the chips. Spread the beans over the chips, and then top with the remaining chips and salsa. Sprinkle everything with chiles and Cheddar.

Spicy Sweet Potato Fries: Tasty and healthy! You can’t go wrong with these.

Ingredients

6 sweet potatoes, cut into French fries

2 tablespoons canola oil

3 tablespoons taco seasoning mix

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. In a plastic bag, combine the sweet potatoes, canola oil, taco seasoning, and cayenne pepper. Close the bag and shake until the fries are evenly coated. Spread the fries out in a single layer on two large baking sheets. Bake for 30 minutes, or until crispy and brown on one side. Turn the fries over and cook for another 30 minutes, or until they are all crispy on the outside and tender inside.
