Every time Puff Daddy changes his name, he thinks he can up his price. As both a consumer and a pop culture writer who has to keep up with what he’s calling himself these days, I am offended.
Sean “Diddy” “P. Diddy” “Puff Daddy” “Puff” “Puffy” Combs is selling tickets for his post Grammys after party, and there are reports that the going price for the most VIP ticket is a whopping $50,000. So twice as much as the average American makes in a year.
The cheapest ticket is a little more affordable, but still nowhere near my price range, for $1,5000. Depending on what services you want with your ticket, they can also go for $15,000 and $25,000. Expensive, yes, but there is a saving grace: it’s all for a good cause. The party’s proceeds will benefit the Angelwish Foundation for children afflicted by HIV/AIDS.
Sources connected with the party say that the $50,000 VIP tickets come with 2 cabanas, VIP admission for 20 people, buffet dinner, open bar, free bottle service, and 15 promotional models. Yes, you can ogle models all night and not feel that guilty about it, because you’re doing it for charity, right?
But for $50,000, you better get to pick Diddy’s next name, too.
Dubbed ‘Fame At The Mansion’, this post awards celebration will take place at the infamous Playboy Mansion. The black tie affair includes a live DJ performance, cocktail reception, buffet and “celebrity honors.” It’ll also have it’s own red carpet.
