McDonald's Tries to Trick Us With Healthy Stuff

Even though they’re adding healthier additions, the fries will still remain part of the Happy Meal. The president of McDonald’s USA said:
“When we did it without fries, there was a huge disappointment factor.”
Which is a diplomatic way of saying a ton of overweight kids threw temper tantrums.
First Lady Michelle Obama called McDonald’s initiative “positive steps toward the goal of solving the problem of childhood obesity.”
McDonald’s isn’t the only fast food chain offering more nutritious menu options. Carl’s Jr. recently added a turkey burger to their menu, and the whole thing is under 500 calories. With their typical burger being 1,400+ calories, it’s definitely a healthier option. But I'll never know how it is taste-wise.
Because the day I eat a turkey burger is the day I sign up to run a marathon. Which is never. Burger King has also jumped on the health food bandwagon. Back in 2007, they were the ones who initially revealed the fry-shaped apples, even being so bold as to call them “apple fries”. I’m going to let you in on a little secret: they are 100% apple and 0% fry. Can you be any more misleading in your product names, Burger King? Might as well call your fountain drinks “soda champagne.”
Not too long ago, Taco Bell even made a change, adding a “fresco” section to their menu. Most of the Fresco items are surprisingly under 300 calories. It’s amazing how healthy something can be when it’s not drenched in cheese and sour cream.
