Last Minute Thanksgiving Take-Out Restaurants & Bakeries
November 22, 2011 by: KRISTIN WONG

Well, you're not completely screwed. Lucky for you, there are plenty of places open on or close to Thanksgiving day. So you don't have to pull out whatever you can find in your fridge and try to pass it off as a casserole. Because no matter how long you bake it at 375 degrees, half a bottle of wine and that half-eaten Quiznos sub are never going to mix well together.
For your convenience, we've put together a list of eateries that offer Thanksgiving take-out near the holiday. Check out these places, and don't arrive at your Thanksgiving destination empty handed.
Los Angeles: Pann's: Pann's is open on Thanksgiving Day. Bad for their employees, good for you. They sell turkey, ham, peach cobber, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and a whole lot more. And if you've got no place to go for the big day, they serve Thanksgiving breakfast from 1am to 1pm and dinner from 1pm to 5pm.
Jackson, MS: McDade's Market: McDade's is open all Thanksgiving week, including Thanksgiving Day. The deadline for big Thanksgiving orders is Tuesday, the 22nd, but the staff might be sweet-talked into extending it. And, they also have plenty of pies to choose from if you want to bring a dessert.
New York: Four & Twenty Blackbirds: One of the hottest pie shops in New York City is already totally booked for Thanksgiving orders. Uh, okay, why are you telling me this? I need pie, man!!! Not to worry, they are opening their doors Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 8am, to offer a select number of pies. But be warned, there is a two pie minimum per person.
Washington, D.C.: Buzz Bakery: The bakery is no longer taking orders for their infamous pies, but they are opening their doors through Wednesday and selling whatever they have until they run out.
Chicago: Bleeding Heat Bakery: Sounds painful. The bakery is offering pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, as well as torts and tarts all through the week, including Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving, they will be open from 8am to noon. First come, first serve.
National: Boston Market: Hey, you can't go wrong with Boston Market, considering their menu is pretty much all Thanksgiving-based dishes. Boston Market brags that "The restaurant known for creating delicious, home‐style meals every day offers two distinctly different ways to feed family and friends without missing out on any of the good stuff, making it a popular last‐minute resource for Thanksgiving."
