New York City Best Spot For The Holidays
December 24, 2007 by: EATSTAYDRINK TEAM

In the big apple, Christmas begins with the lighting of the Rockefeller tree and ends when the ball drops on New Years Eve. It’s a great time to be in the city from the buildings decked with lights and stores coming out with elaborate displays and sidewalk corners crammed with people. Here are the best spots to enjoy the holidays in the city.
Best Holiday Windows:
Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Macys and Tiffany's all try to compete for the largest crowds to gawk over the window displays. Our favorite window has to be Cartier which has the entire block lit up with lights and holiday melodies playing for shoppers walking by its creative window.
Best Tourist Spots:
Take a carriage ride through Central Park or walk over to Rockefeller Center, which is worth fighting the large crowds to get a glimpse of the Christmas tree. Make sure to check out the Empire state building, which lights up with festive colors.
