Every once in a while when celebrities try to escape paparazzi infested
hotspots, they'll head out to their favorite local spots...and Velvet Margarita is one of them.
The dark, intimate, sexy bar and restaurant is a celebrity favorite because they can stroll in and expect great food, amazing drinks, and most importantly, privacy. On any given night you may just run into funny man Vince Vaughn socializing with fellow patrons.
Earlier this week the famed restaurant celebrated their cinco anniversary on Cinco de Mayo. The event included a charity poker tournament with all proceeds benefiting the Friends of El Faro.
A number of Hollywood celebs came out to show their support and play. Players included Binion’s Casino owner Terry Caudill, Kelly Hu, Patrick Van Horn, Steve Aoki, Verne Troyer, Christa Campbell, and Dean Cain. The Superman star must have channeled his old super powers that night. He beat all 30 players to win the tournament!
Jamie Foxx was at the anniversary party smoking cigars and hanging out with Velvet Margarita owner Big Daddy Carlos.
Dan Aykroyd guest bartending and passing out shots of his vodka line, Crystal Head Vodka. Jeff Ross was also at the hotspot smoking cigars and drinking cocktails on the Monster Energy Drink Patio.
Verne Troyer was also at the party, nearly running into people on the dance floor, while DWTS hottie Karina Smirnoff and fiancé Max danced the night away and chatted with friends about their engagement.
