Taraji P. Henson Raises $75K for Project: Involve

Hollywood's hottest stars helped raise $75,000 March 5th for Project: Involve, Film Independent’s signature diversity program, at the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards. Taraji P. Henson hosted the blue carpet in celebration of the show’s 25th Anniversary to help kick off LG Electronics' support of Project: Involve. Before Henson hit the carpet, LG Electronics’ new high-performance Kompressor® Vacuums worked overtime picking up last year’s sand, making the Blue Carpet sparkle at the new downtown LA venue for this year's Spirit Awards.

Not your ordinary Blue Carpet, for every additional celebrity presenter, performer and nominee who took on their own “charitable chore” during the Live Arrivals Show, LG Electronics made an additional donation to Project: Involve. Plus backstage in the Official Presenter Gift Lounge, presenters were among the first to experience “Something Better” in home care with the new high-performance Kompressor Vacuum from LG Electronics, which will be available in the United States for the first time this Spring.

Stars like Vera Farmiga, Jeff Bridges, Jeremy Renner, Gabourey Sidibe, Olivia Wilde, and Gilles Marini were part of the event, even shared some “dirt” as they helped sweep up the sand with the LG Electronics Kompressor Vacuum.

Best Actress winner Gabourey Sidibe preferred to use the LG Kompressor Vacuums hose feature, saying “I want to use the hose! Gotta use the hose!”

Actress Regina King knows how to get the job done! She asked someone to hold her purse, sharing “I need to focus!” as she vacuumed up the sand with the LG Kompressor Vacuum! Laura Dern doesn’t normally vacuum, but said she’d do it for charity!

Jodie Foster left no grain of sand behind! The Oscar-winner exclaimed “That sand is mine!” as she took on the charitable chore with the LG Electronics Kompressor Vacuum.

Best Actor winner Jeff Bridges said of the “charitable chore” - “Let’s do it. Whoa!”

Best Director winner Lee Daniels asked if he was being “Punk’d” while vacuuming up the sand!

Lenny Kravitz who took on the “charitable chore” with the help of daughter Zoe shared “When I have time, I love to vacuum!”
