New Site Lets You Travel Like A Celebrity

Weather is getting warmer, you’re ready to show off your bikini, and now all you need is a destination. And there are some A-list travel agents waiting to help you: Rachel Zoe, Jason Mraz, and Anthony Bourdain, to name a few.

Trippy (www.trippy.com) is a new social travel site that let’s you share travel information and inspiration with friends, strangers, and even celebrities. Think Pinterest, but strictly for travel. Trippy’s advisors include a handful of celebs who have used the site to discuss and share their favorite travel destinations.

Here are some celebrity travel examples that you can use to travel like a star (entourage not included).

Jason Mraz: On his Trippy board, Jason recommends One Lucky Duck in NYC for their ice cream, saying that the “almond buttercup raw ice cream is insane.” And if you’re going to the West Coast, he recommends Hill Street Café in Oceanside, CA, for their avocado burritos.

Soleil Moon Fry: The former Blossom star uses her Trippy board for family-friendly destinations. She recommends Chinatown in Los Angeles and Serendipity3 in NYC. Oh, and the Boardwalk in Venice, CA is one of her “favorite places to take the kids.” I feel I should mention there's a weed dispensary every 30 ft.

Anthony Bourdain: The Travel Channel’s bad boy—though he’d both hate and mock that title—has a whole slew of hot spots on his Trippy board. One of them includes Willie Mae’s Scotch House in New Orleans and Etxebarri in France. He calls it “where the great chefs want to die.”

Andrew Zimmern: The Bizarre Foods host says The Walrus and The Carpenter in Seattle “is the place to go for Oysters.”

Rachel Zoe: If you want to travel in high fashion, follow Rachel Zoe’s Trippy board. She recommends Emporio Armani Café in Milan, saying: “who doesn't want a little piece of Mr. Armani? Their cappuccino is insane!”
