So what’s the scoop on this hot spot? The Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel is the hottest lounge to be seen at in NYC. But that’s if you actually get in.
It’s like the new Studio 54 with a '70s carefree decadence, but the downside for regular folks is that it’s extremely hard to get in.
The space has 360-degree views of Manhattan and the Hudson River from floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as a few vertigo-inducing smoking balconies with glass floors.

One party that everyone was dying to get a ticket to was the A|X Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine's second annual Neon Carnival.
The guests at the Brent Bolthouse produced bash enjoyed carnival games and thrill rides like bumper cars, kite runners and slides, and noshed on old-school snacks in between hitting up the central dance floor, which stayed packed well into the morning hours thanks to sounds spun by world-renowned DJs Mia Moretti, Rick Rude and Jessie Marco.
R&B songstress Rihanna, Usher, Leonardo DiCaprio, Vanessa Hudgens, Paris Hilton, Diane Kruger were among the thousands of festival-goers who flocked to the neon-lit carnival, which was voted the best bash of last year's weekend-long fete.
I must confess, one of the main reasons I went to Coachella this year was to check out this hot bash.
The carnival also celebrated the launch of the limited edition A|X “Solar Remix” Sunglasses by A|X Armani Exchange.
The party went on until the wee hours and that's why I am still recovering.
