Tropicana Las Vegas Opening RPM Nightclub For New Year's Eve

The only thing more fun than partying in Vegas on New Year's Eve is partying at a brand new club in Vegas on New Year's Eve. Double the hoopla!

Tropicana Las Vegas, one of the city's most happening hotels, has been undergoing a massive transformation. But it's going to be worth it. They're setting up a new venue, RPM Nightclub, and the doors open New Year's Eve Weekend.

Beginning December 30, RPM will be open for business every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m. The club promises its patrons an "unrivaled experience set to entice each of the senses." Wow, I'm fine with just getting drunk, but if they want entice all of my senses, I'm cool with that, too. Actually, I'm intrigued with it.

RPM Nightclub is actually a replacement for Club Nikki. Tropicana ended its partnership with Club Nikki in September. But through all the massive transformations, it's going to be interesting to see what they've done with the place. Tropicana Las Vegas recently spent $180 million on a transformation. They wanted to give the club and hotel a true resort-style feel with a "South Beach, Miami rhythm and vibe."

The club will feature world-famous DJs, dancers and specialty acts. At 16,500 square feet, it will also include table games, roulette tables, and a gaming lounge. There are three bars within the club, so pit stops will be plentiful.

In addition to the club, the suites have been redesigned, as well as the casino, conference center and exhibition hall. There will also be several new restaurants in the hotel, and a new poker room.

The Tropicana also recently debuted Glow, a spa and fitness center that is complete with a relaxing, beachy feel. The spa is tucked away on the bottom floor of the Island tower. Visitors can relax in the lounge, where they enjoy complimentary beverages before taking an aromatherapy shower. The spa also has wet and dry saunas and a hot tub. There are a variety of wraps, facials and sugar and salt glows. No, I'm not entirely sure what a sugar and salt glow is. But it sounds delicious.

Vegas veteran Richard Wilk will take over as club manager for the venue. He was most recently a club official at the Hard Rock Hotel.
