Celine Dion Now Owns Celebrity Hotspot Sandwich Spot

Because when you’re an ultra successful singer with a Las Vegas residency, the next career move is, naturally, sandwiches.

Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil has purchased a Canadian hotspot: Montreal’s renowned Schwartz’s store, founded in 1928 and made famous for their delicious sandwiches.

Locals and tourists alike pour into Schwartz’s, because not only are they known for their tasty sandwiches, they’re also famed for their timeless décor. It’s also frequented by Celine and her husband.

Angelil said: “I have so many great memories of being there with the guys, and with Celine and our families throughout the years. It's the most unique restaurant in the world and we're thrilled to be a part of it."

Schwartz’s offers traditional sandwiches like smoked meat, turkey, salami, chicken and is also known for their rib steak and liver steak combo.

Celebrity guests include Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, and The Rolling Stones.

The native Canadians have three children together, and they’ve also partnered with a chain of 1950s-themed diners in Montreal.

Their goal is to add authenticity to the restaurants, while only making necessary improvements. Celine recently boasted that she felt lucky to be in such a position to be able to do things like this, and make these kinds of purchases.

"My fans bought me my house. They bought my records ... I'm very fortunate, and people have bought my albums year after year, and they come to see the shows, and it's expensive, and they still come."
