It’s a diner! It’s a bar! It’s…Kitchen 24!
I don’t want to brag, but I’m a bit of a diner enthusiast. Any place that serves breakfast any time of day and has country fried steak on the menu is a place for me.
So when I discovered Kitchen 24--which is both a diner and a bar--needless to say, I planned on pairing my pancakes with a Guinness (not a great idea, by the way). But this place goes so far beyond typical diner food. There’s the chicken fried pork chop with caramelized apples, for example. Or their root beer martini. Or, oooooh god, their disco fries…
Anyway, the first venue is located in the heart of the ‘Cahuenga Corridor’ in Hollywood, so naturally, it’s a great place for that after-party sobering up. But the coolest part is, you know how you usually sober up so you can get your second wind and go back out again? At Kitchen 24, you can go back out again right where you are.
There’s a DJ booth in the middle of the bar, so of course, this place is also a huge draw for celebs. All you have to tell celebrities is: ‘Oh it’s great, there’s a DJ…’ and they’re there. Danny Masterson, Lionel Richie, and a slew of other stars have been spotted there.
The second Kitchen 24 location just opened up in West Hollywood. It officially began serving customers February 6th, 2012. A statement from the restaurant’s hospitality design group, Spacecraft, reads:
“Being the primary restaurant serving everything from breakfast, burgers, cupcakes and pretty much anything around the clock, it soon established itself as a favorite among locals and celebrities. The classic diner now contains a super long bar that wraps around the whole space including 37 beers and variety of creative cocktails to choose from.”
