Gansevoort South Makes Big Waves In Miami

In additon to our extensive Miami coverage this week we would like to announce the latest addition to the block, Gansevoort South. The famed New York hotel is opening its doors in the city known for its wild parties, luxury and style.

The best part of the hotel is the Nikki Beach inspired décor, a 55,000-square-foot semi-circular oceanfront pool deck and the rooftop which will be transformed into a tropical haven dotted with coco palm trees and whimsical cabanas. The 110-foot outdoors swimming pool will be joined by, “Plunge”, a stylish bar and lounge.

The hotel will feature a gym by David Barton and a Spa. It doesn’t hurt that our favorite restaurants, STK and Philippe Chow will be opening its doors in the hotel.

We’re pretty sure this hotel will be the stopping ground for many Hollywood heavyweights. Especially the hotel’s Presidential Suite also known as the "Grand Dame Suite", includes 3,500 square feet of space, with two master bedrooms, two living rooms, an entertainment room, and an expansive outdoor deck, all with peerless ocean and city views.

The Gansevoort South Hotel, Spa and Residences is located on the up-and-coming north end of Collins Avenue (between 23rd and 24th Streets), widely considered to be the next epicenter of South Beach. It will comprise the 334-room Gansevoort South hotel and 259 condominiums currently available for purchase. To learn more about this hotel Click Here.

Cafe Wa s To Open It's Doors In Hollywood

There are new spots that open doors in Hollywood everyday, but not all catch our attention. Here’s your introduction to Cafe Wa s and no it’s not a spelling error, that’s the way the name is spelled.

The genius behind the nightclub is impresario Ivan Kane who brought burlesque dancing back on the map with his Fort Deuce nightclubs. His newest venture is scheduled to open in May 2008, but here is the scoop on what to expect.

Part restaurant and part piano bar, the bohemian atmosphere boasts hidden lounges. The focal point of the space revolved around a grand piano, which will feature resident musicians as well as surprise guests for unexpected marquee performances.

The Café Wa s menu, created by chef and restaurateur Tim Goodell will feature bistro-inspired dishes, such as Steak or moules frites; Onion soup au gratin and the signature IK burger topped with prosciutto, brie and a fried egg. Decadent desserts will include tart au citron; crème caramel and chocolate soufflé.

It doesn’t end there, Café Wa s' imported and domestic caviar selection will be served simply with crème fraiche and buttered toast points.

The bar will feature classic cocktails and an extensive wine and champagne menu served by-the-glass, bottle or carafe and selected spirits by the flask.

The new joint will be located at 1521 North Vine Street in Hollywood. It will be open for dinner seven nights a week from 6pm until 2am and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Now all we need is for this spot to open its doors.

Kobe Club Heats Up Miami

With Wrestlemania, Winter Music Conference and Miami Fashion Week all taking place in Miami this week, seems like everyone is heading south. With this in mind, we're bringing you the coverage on the hottest spots in South Beach.

One Hollyscoop favorite in the heart of the city is the Kobe Club restaurant. Tennis bombshell Anna Kournikova was spotted dining at this spot with her family and friends this past weekend. Her choice for dinner was a Tomato Onion Salad and Steamed Veggie plate. No wonder she has a body to die for.

The restaurant has a dark sensual environment where a canopy of 2,000 samurai swords glimmers over the dining room. There is an outdoor lounge with semi-private cabanas and a samurai blade-shaped bar. The restaurant is hot for its architecture, atmosphere and finest American, Australian and Japanese Wagyu, as well as American Prime Beef and a variety of signature seafood dishes.

St. Patrick’s Day is the annual holiday, which celebrates Saint Patrick (circa 385–461 AD), one of the patron saints of Ireland. Let's be real, the holiday is known more for drinking.

Founded in 1936 by Tom Bergin, the Tavern is a quaint Irish style cottage which brings people to its doors 6am every St. Patrick’s Day.

Tom Bergins is hot because it brings in Hollywood celebs and has the best beer in town. Not to mention a great place to go for Happy Hour. To check out the madness that took place today at this pub, check out the video below.

Sienna Miller Hits The Groucho Club

British babe Sienna Miller has great taste. The actress hit Soho hot spot “The Groucho Club” last night with pals. If you are not familiar, this venue is a membership only private club.

Opened in 1985 as antidote to the traditional club has now evolved to a “who’s who” crowd. Ironically, the name of the club was inspired by one of Groucho Marx's quips; "I don't want to join a club that will accept me as a member."

Located on Dean Street in Soho, London the club features three bars, a brasserie and formal dining room. Although it’s a private members club the venue does offer various rooms for private events such as parties, weddings and conferences, as well as accommodation for overnight guests, hence, being your only ticket in...unless you happen to be Sienna Miller.

Villa Lounge Opens In Hollywood

There is a new hot spot this weekend in Hollywood. Note: we said weekend, because it’s L.A. and by next week there will be a new spot to party at.

Villa brought in the likes of Kimberly Stewart, Paris Hilton and Justin Timberlake. Basically the usual partygoers.

If you live in the Los Angeles area and want to stop by this joint, think again. If you don’t have a famous face, the most you might see is the doorman and red ropes. This is the reason why partying in Los Angeles is lame, us regular folks can never get in.

Get Central In Hollywood

There is a new lounge in Hollywood and with everything that’s fresh in this town there's awlays buzz. Central is the spot, which opened its doors on December 8 and is already become a hot commodity among Young Hollywood.

Central is the old Rokbar which was owned by Tommy Lee and is located next to its sister bar Parc. With Parc and Central we got our mini version of New York’s "Central Parc" in Hollywood. The signature live Tree inside Parc echoes in Central with lit branches with a forest of branches overhead. Lights dangle overhead like stars. Nearby, a glass enclosed DJ tree house perches overhead.

If you’re making your way to town make sure to stop by this hot spot which is open Wednesday through Saturday, 9pm-2am. Located at 1710 N. Las Palmas Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028.
