Stars Rock On At Coachella Music Festival 2009

This past weekend, the stars were out in the middle of the desert to hear performance of some of the best in music. Talk about an opening act, as the headliner of the opening night was Sir Paul McCartney.

Paul may be 66 but this Beatle sure knows how to put on a show--he performed for the crowd for 3 hours! It was an special night for Paul since Friday marked the 11th anniversary of Linda McCartney's death, and Paul sang an emotional My Love, which he dedicated to her.

Other performers over the weekend included Joss Stone,M.I.A., The Cure, Public Enemy, Groove Armada, The Killers among others.

The music festival may not have had the red ropes or carpet, but it still brought in the biggest names in Hollywood. From super private couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal to Agyness Deyn, David Hasselhoff, Dita Von Teese,Kristin Cavallari, Carmen Electra,Tara Reid, Kate Bosworth and the list goes on. Stars Come Out For Coachella Music Festival 2008

The stars were out in the desert this past weekend for the 2008 Coachella Music Festival. With great acts like Prince, Roger Waters, Jack Johnson, Kraftwerk, Rockets,Fatboy Slim, M.I.A., Serj Tankian, Gogol Bordello, Kraftwerk, The Verve it's no surprise that so many stars showed up to see such great acts in the dirt.

Our Hollyscoop snoopers saw many stars in the audience which included Nicole Richie, Kelly Osbourne, David Hasselhoff, Agyness Deyn, Elijah Wood, Steven Tyler among others. The music festival is a three-day affair which takes place annually in April at the breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA.

Every year music fans from around the world gather to experience Coachella’s adventurous mix of iconic headliners and wide-ranging, forward-looking performers. To best describe Coachella, think Woodstock fast-forward to today.
